📅Booking & Appointments
How do I book a service with SwiftFix UK?
You can book in three ways: online through our booking form, by calling us on 0800 123 4567, or by emailing hello@swiftfixuk.co.uk. Online bookings take less than 2 minutes and you'll receive a confirmation within 15 minutes.
Can I get a same-day service?
Yes! Same-day service is available for most of our services in all major cities where we operate. Simply book online before 12pm for a same-day afternoon appointment, or call us directly and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
What happens after I book?
Once you book, you'll receive a confirmation email with your booking reference. Our team will call you within 15 minutes to confirm your engineer's details, the exact arrival time, and to answer any questions you may have.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Yes. You can cancel or reschedule for free up to 3 hours before your appointment. To do so, call us on 0800 123 4567 or reply to your confirmation email. Cancellations within 3 hours of the appointment may incur a small admin fee.
Do I need to be home during the appointment?
For most services, yes — an adult over 18 must be present during the appointment. For some outdoor services like gardening, this isn't always required. Please let us know your preference when booking.
💰Pricing & Payment
How does your pricing work?
We offer transparent, upfront pricing. Before any work begins, your engineer will provide a fixed quote. You'll never be charged more than the agreed amount — no hidden fees, no surprise charges. Visit our pricing page to see our standard rates.
Is there a call-out charge?
There is no separate call-out charge within our standard coverage areas during working hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm). An emergency call-out fee applies outside these hours — see our pricing page for details.
Are parts and materials included in the price?
Labour costs are included in our hourly or day rates. Parts and materials are charged separately at cost price — we never mark up parts. Your engineer will always get your approval before purchasing any materials needed for the job.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, bank transfer and cash. Payment is typically taken after the work is completed to your satisfaction. For larger projects, we may require a deposit upfront.
Do you offer any discounts or packages?
Yes! We offer annual maintenance packages starting from £199/year, which include priority booking and discounts on all services. We also offer discounts for elderly customers, NHS workers and regular customers. See our pricing page for more.
🔧Our Engineers
Are your engineers qualified and insured?
Absolutely. Every SwiftFix engineer is fully trade-qualified, DBS-checked and carries £5 million public liability insurance. Our plumbers are Gas Safe registered, our electricians are Part P certified, and all our professionals hold relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications.
How do you vet your engineers?
Our vetting process is rigorous. Every applicant undergoes an enhanced DBS check, trade qualification verification, ID checks, reference checks from previous employers, and a practical skills assessment. Only the top 15% of applicants are accepted onto our platform.
Can I request a specific engineer?
Yes! If you've had a great experience with one of our engineers and would like to use them again, simply mention their name when booking and we'll do our best to assign them to your next job.
Will I know who is coming to my home?
Yes. When your booking is confirmed, you'll receive your engineer's full name, photo and professional credentials. You can also track their arrival via our text message updates service.

What services do you offer?
We offer plumbing, electrical repairs, cleaning, painting & decorating, gardening, appliance repair, handyman services and emergency callouts. Visit our services page for the full list with detailed descriptions.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes! Use our online quote form, call us or email us for a free, no-obligation quote. For larger projects, we can also send an engineer to carry out a free site assessment before providing a fixed price.
Do you provide cleaning materials and equipment?
Yes, our cleaning teams arrive fully equipped with professional-grade products and equipment at no extra charge. We use eco-friendly cleaning products wherever possible.
Can you handle large renovation projects?
Yes. We handle projects of all sizes — from a single dripping tap to full bathroom or kitchen renovations. For larger projects, your dedicated account manager will coordinate multiple trades and manage the project timeline.
🚨Emergency Services
What counts as an emergency?
A home emergency is any situation that poses an immediate risk to your property or safety — burst pipes, flooding, power failure, gas leaks (call 0800 111 999first!), boiler breakdowns in winter, or security issues like broken locks or windows. Visit our emergency page for more.
How fast is your emergency response?
We guarantee an engineer arrival within 60 minutes in all areas where we have full coverage. Our average response time in 2025 was 42 minutes. Emergency service is available 24/7, 365 days a year — including Christmas Day.
Are emergency callouts more expensive?
Emergency callouts outside standard hours (Mon–Fri 8am–6pm) do carry a higher call-out rate due to the immediate response required. However, there are no hidden charges — your engineer will give you a fixed price before starting any work.
🛡️Guarantee & Aftercare
What guarantee do you offer on your work?
All completed work is backed by our 12-month workmanship guarantee. If any issue arises that is directly related to the work we carried out within 12 months, we'll return and fix it at no charge.
What happens if I'm not happy with the work?
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you're not fully satisfied with any aspect of the work, please contact us within 48 hours and we'll arrange for a manager to assess the situation. We'll either rectify the work or provide a refund.
Are parts under guarantee too?
Parts and materials sourced by SwiftFix are guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months, often longer depending on the manufacturer's warranty. We use only quality, brand-name components from trusted suppliers.
